Food
We came to Mia Cucina to eat after a disappointing time at Fat Cat Café. Hungry as hell, I ordered for a Chicken in wine sauce while my friend ordered for Grilled Chicken with Spinach. The waiter promptly told us that it would take 15-20 mins to get our order. Pleased with this upfront-ness, I ordered for a ginger ale (which I wanted to have for quite a while). The food took less than 15 mins and was really good. My chicken came with this baked bread thingy (need to find out what that was) that almost tasted like mashed potatoes. Do any of you know what it’s called?
The grilled chicken with spinach that my friend ordered was basic, and that’s how it should be. The thing I wasn’t so fond of was the bread on the table, which didn’t have any “mmm” factor to it. You know, the factor that gets to you when you bite into a French croissant freshly removed from the oven. The warmth, the butter, the flavor that wafts from your palette to your olfactory senses! The butter served with the bread was very nice, with a hint of garlic and some bits of green in it (basil maybe? Couldn’t figure out).
We ordered for some stir fried/ sautéed veggies on the side which were not as good as expected (Try it at Some Like it Hot. Amazing!).

Menu variety
Before I talk about the variety, the menu itself needs mention here. You see, “mia cucina” literally translates to “my kitchen” in Italian. In line with that, the menu is handwritten! And in a beautiful and consistent handwriting in that! When you look at the menu for the first time, you can’t help but stare in awe. It does have its downside though. You cannot glance through as quickly as you would have in a printed menu. Try it.
The menu has a good variety of Italian food. It’s quite comprehensive and will have something for everybody.
The unique menu - pardon the picture quality - low light cell phone picture :(
Service
Service was courteous. The guys knew how the dishes were prepared and were prompt. Water was served without having to ask. No interference in conversation either. Thumbs up!

Ambiance
Right next to WTF Andheri, but no noise from the neighbor. The tables outside are lovely if the weather is good. Inside has a warm feel to i too, with the deep yellow lights. Right at the entrance is  aposter of the Godfather. I was sold right there :)

Value for money
On the expensive side, a meal for two without drinks costed us about 1000 bucks. But the satiation of hunger made it worth it for me!

Location
Between 7 bungalows and Versova, on the main road. Can’t go wrong with that.

And in conclusion…
This place is good for a chilled out dinner with a close friend/ boyfriend/ girlfriend/ spouse. Basically, quiet dinner types, not really romantic, but relaxed.
