I had a lot of catching up to do with a friend of mine and we decided to try out this place called Pebble Bay at Bandra. Seafood was on our minds :)

Food
To begin our conversation with, we ordered for a couple of cocktails - an apple and vodka based one for me and a cucumber and vodka based drink for my friend. The cucumber one was extremely refreshing and is totally recommended!
While we sipped on our cocktails, we ordered for Lemon Prawns. Like the name suggests, it was cooked in a yellow lemon sauce with a sprinkling of cut green and red chillies that gave brilliant color to the dish. It tasted awesome too! For main course, we tried a Rawas in Pudina Chutney, which was a green colored fish gravy in mint sauce. This was teamed up with Neer Dosa, and we kept going ga ga over it.
No doubt, the food here is extremely good!

Menu variety
A whole lot of seafood to choose from. They even had a specials menu which had crabs, large prawns and lobsters with complementary wine/ beer depending on the dish. Indian seafood preparations - they were all here!

Service
This was where they lagged behind. A cocktail does not take 30 minutes to make. The waiters could have been better groomed (you especially expect that in Bandra, no?) and spoken better English. It's not a cheap restaurant, after all. This is what you pay a premium for.

Ambiance
I've seen some reviews where people have really liked the ambiance, but I didn't. Maybe it's got to do with the fact that I went in the afternoon and they've done up the place (lights, etc) to suit a more evening atmosphere. In the day time, the place looks like a normal restaurant. Furniture is not anything to talk much about and nor is any artwork. Not impressed.

Value for money
Simply for the food, this place is worth going to. A meal for two with a total of 3 cocktails cost around 1.5k. Worth it.

Location
Situated right on the road that goes to Bandra station, at the junction of SV road and Linking road, it's at a very convenient location. If you're in the moods for seafood while shopping at Linking road, you know where to go.

And in conclusion...
Good seafood. Must visit!
