WTF

WTF

Place: 7 bungalows, Andheri (W)

Food:  - 7/10
Menu variety:  - 5/10
Service:  - 7/10
Ambiance:  - 8/10
VFM:  - 6/10

Let me start by saying that I hate the name of the place. It's wannabe-ish and very trying-to-be-hip. However, that's where the tackiness ends. WTF is chilled out and a good place to hang out with friends.

Food
I was here with a friend for drinks and so there wasn't much that we ate. I am usually not hungry when I drink and I wonder if I didn't give him enough opportunity to order more food. All we had was a plate of Chicken Wings which was awesome btw. Going by that dish, I have high hopes for the food in this place.

Menu variety
So the place focuses on drinks obviously which is why the food menu has not been worked on much. The drinks and cocktail menu lists the average items you would see in most places. Thankfully for my friend and me, we stick to whiskey on the rocks, available in abundance everywhere!

Service
Individual waiters and waitresses are actually really good, but ordering for a drink gets a difficult after 11 when the place gets really crowded. My friend fell in love with one waiter and tipped him over and above the credit card tip (what drinks do to people). So well, u get the idea of the kind of appreciation of the service.

Ambiance
WTF, Andheri has an indoor and an outdoor section. It's replaced Shatranj (whose quality deteriorated over time...seemed like they were moving towards shutting down) so if you've been there before, you'll know the setup. The indoor area is small but with louder music. However, if you're a large group, you'll have to sit outside. Plus, outside is friendlier and better if you want to hold a conversation with your drinks. This place really gets crowded at night, which is a good thing and a bad thing. They need to figure how to keep up the service in spite of the crowd.

Value for money
Reviews of WTF, Khar always said it was a cheap place. It's not! 12 large whiskey pegs + one plate of chicken wings cost us about 3.5K. It would have been fine if we would have also had main course in that price.

Location
It's right on the main road, between 7 bungalows and Versova. Couldn't get better than this.

And in conclusion...
It's a new alternate to Masalacraft. I'll go here again, but with a bigger group next time.
