After a few tiring days at work, chatting up over drinks was in order and we went to Kafe D'or to make ourselves feel better. I must say I went with a bias, because a Kafe that starts with a 'K' instead of a 'C' gives me a feeling of pretentiousness right away. Reminds me of a scene from the movie, That Thing You Do, where Tom Hanks tells the band to change their name from "Oneders" to "Wonders" to keep it simple. Food
With us ordering stir fried veggies often these days, we continued the trend and called for some awesome tasting veggies. To be very honest, I don't remember what else I ate here. It was quite forgettable.

Menu variety
They serve a little of everything - Mexican, Italian, Moroccan - but there isn't really a full fledged menu with a whole variety of options for each. I had to mix and match my main course to say "I want this, but without that and instead put in those."

Service
Bad!!!! We were at the bar counter at first and moved to the table after noticing the bartender's curiosity to our conversation. The waiter did not know jackshit about the nuances of each dish. He had to go back to consult the kitchen to let us know most things. For one dish that we ordered, he told us that it would come in 4 skewers, when it actually came in 3. When we asked, he said "they put it in bigger skewers"!!!!! How blatantly can you lie?!


Ambiance
The place looks quite nice, though I didn't like sharing space with another table smoking hookahs. Not that I have anything against hookahs, I just feel that they are better places in an outdoor environment. Anyway, we sat far from them and weren't really bothered.
To get to the washroom, we had to walk through the club section, which shouldn't be the case when you're seated at the so-called fine dining section.

Value for money
We burned our pockets with a bill of about Rs. 2000 for okay food and bad service. No good VFM.

Location
It's in the lane adjoining Fame Adlabs and quite easy to get to.

And in conclusion...
I don't recommend this place.
